Name: Ashley-Anne Box
D.O.B: July 8th 1993
Gender: Female
Height: 5'9"
Ethnicity: White
Eye Colour: Blue
Hair Colour: Dirty Blonde / Blue Bangs
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Willing to Travel: If Possible
Born in Mississauga, Ash began to develop a love for cameras and photography at an early age, and around the age of 15, she became interested in cosplaying. Deciding to put both of these passions into effect, she began to partake in conventions around Toronto in order to get a better idea about cosplaying and cosplay photography (as well as photography in general).
She has gone through the Seneca College Broadcast - Radio program, currently within her last semester. In this program she was able to do various voice work, as well as learn how to do copy writing, and digital editing; both aspects she believes she is rather good at.
Voice over work was also something she touched upon while in the program at Seneca, and has been interested in it - honestly since she was a child and watched Sailor Moon; she had always been fascinated with animation and the voices and tricks that voice actors use. She is currently trying to put together a demo reel and will be posting it upon here as soon as it is available. Ash's skills are improving as she continues to do little bits of voice over work, and will continue to do so as she gets older.
At the moment Ash is focusing on growing her portfolio in regards to photography, and costuming in order to branch out further. She attends anime/gaming conventions whenever she is able, and is often circling around trying to find more things to do while there; nine times out of ten she just fans over costumes and props that others have put together.
In Regards to Cosplaying...
Ashley actually rather lucked out with her experience in cosplaying. She had been cosplaying since 2009, and didn't have too much experience, going to a con every few months until 2011 when she started to branch out. DTAC 2011 was where she made friends with more cosplayers - most notably Gabrielle Wilson (MDA Cosplay) and Antonio Terlizzi (Cosplay Canada). Those two helped her learn about more cons, and have been very encouraging in regards to her cosplay experience.
Due to medical issues with her eyes (and her body in general) Ash is rather incapable of doing her own costume designs, and needs to have her costumes commissioned, unless they are made of clothing one that she can pick up at a store. One day she truly wishes to do a really detailed cosplay one way or another. Princess Ruto (Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time) is one of those very cosplays, for example.
Prop wise is mostly the same, however, she does attempt those more than she does with clothing. She has created Zexion's Lexion (Kingdom Hearts) and created a base for Demyx's Sitar (Kingdom Hearts), and is willing to attempt other props; though because she should not be allowed to use heavy machinery she mostly makes her props out of types of foam and foam board, and paper mache/clay.
